Not Throwing Away My Shot

I have re-activated the blog element of the site since I will actually have time to focus on it! I am in the process of leaving my 9-5 job which I have been with for over 7 years. It's scary, exciting, and somewhat stressful - but I am not throwing away my shot.
I'm a Hamilton fan, can you tell?

This July we will be celebrating three years of Fully Gimmicked, and three years that I have worked 8 hours a day to come home and pretty much work another 8 hours. There have been many nights where bedtime was 2am because I had to get an order done and shipped the next day. It finally reached a pinnacle where I realized I was pretty burnt out, and starting to half-ass both jobs. So instead of half-assing two things, I decided to make the jump to whole-ass one thing.

I can't wait to spread my entrepreneurial artsy wings and see what FG can really do. When this baby hits 88mph you're gonna see some serious shit. It's also a low-key goal to cram as many pop culture references into things as I can, since about 78% of my brain is movie quotes and song lyrics.

As for the blog here itself, what I'd like to do is highlight new merch items and trends. Things other than the traditional t-shirt that we are able to do or have made magic with. For example, I just got a proper button press so we can make 1" buttons now. I have a hand-press for a bigger button size, but after making about 4 I wanted to cut my own hand off so that wasn't really a viable option to offer. So that's a fun fact for today - we can do buttons! They're super cute and the 1" size is perfect for freebies or extras to throw in when somebody makes a purchase.

And maybe we can expand more into marketing ideas, presentation tips, and general merch-related and merch-selling-related ideas. Let's get weird with it - that sounds like a good plan.
